Job Overview

The Mobile School Kitchen Support Worker will be responsible for covering periods of absence or providing additional support across different school kitchens. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in diverse environments, make a difference in various school kitchens, and contribute to the smooth operation of our mobile school kitchen services.

About the Role

As a Mobile School Kitchen Support Worker, you will act as both Chef Manager and Kitchen Assistant as needed. In your capacity as Chef Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring that meals are prepared and served to the highest standards. When acting as a Kitchen Assistant, you will provide support to the Chef Manager with various kitchen duties, ensuring that our students or customers receive nutritious and delicious meals made with care.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain kitchen hygiene standards and adhere to food safety regulations
  • Manage daily kitchen operations as Chef Manager, overseeing meal preparation and service
  • Provide support to the Chef Manager as Kitchen Assistant, assisting with various kitchen duties
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must have a flexible and adaptable approach, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure. A driving licence is essential for this position, as you will be required to travel between school kitchens. We offer competitive pay, annualised pay, company pension, and paid travel expenses at 45p per mile for work-related travel.
