Highly Specialist CBT Clinical Psychologist Position

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Psychologist/Highly Specialist CBT Therapist to join our team in Bristol. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, delivering high-quality mental health services to our community.
As a key member of the Complex Psychological Therapies team, you will be working closely with colleagues to develop and improve our services, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Main Responsibilities- To provide specialist psychological assessment and therapy to service users and carers, utilizing your expertise in CBT and clinical psychology.
- To contribute to the effective management of patients by the South Bristol Assessment and Recovery Team, leveraging your knowledge and skills in psychological interventions.
- To supervise and support staff in delivering psychological interventions, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- To provide leadership and training to staff in Community Mental Health Services, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
- To contribute to audit, research, policy, and service development within the areas served by the Complex Psychological Interventions Service.
- To develop and deliver training in psychological therapies for multidisciplinary staff, enhancing their skills and confidence in providing high-quality care.

Person SpecificationWe are looking for an experienced and motivated Clinical Psychologist/Highly Specialist CBT Therapist with a strong background in CBT and clinical psychology. You will have a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or a relevant degree and masters-level qualification. Additionally, you will have post-qualification training in specialist interventions, such as CBTp, Family Therapy, CAT, DBT, and EMDR.
You will have experience working in the NHS and within mental health services, with a strong understanding of clinical and management supervision. You will also have significant experience in offering evidence-based therapies to the client group, with a focus on clinical supervision and consultation with other professionals.
It is essential that you have experience in risk assessment and management, as well as working remotely with patients using telephone and video calls. You will also have a Disclosure and Barring Service check, as required by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975.
