About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our Community CAMHS Team in South Bristol. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing specialist clinical psychology assessment, treatment, and consultation services to children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties and their families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist clinical psychology assessment, treatment, and consultation services to children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties and their families.
  • Work collaboratively with other agencies to provide appropriate assessment, support, and treatment.
  • Supervise trainee clinical psychologists, assistant psychologists, and other professionals.
  • Contribute to audit, research, policy, and service development within the areas served by the Psychological Therapies Service.
  • Develop and deliver training in psychological assessment and therapies for multidisciplinary staff.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Doctoral clinical psychology qualification or equivalent.
  • Maintenance of appropriate professional registration (HCPC).

Desirable

  • Experience of providing specialist assessments/interventions, such as Autism assessments (ADOS), Eating Disorders, or specialist CBT.

Skills

Essential

  • Ability to work with children, young people, and families from a wide range of social, cultural, and minority ethnic backgrounds.
  • Ability to work autonomously and organise and prioritise workload.
  • Experience of assessing and managing young people who are suicidal and young people who present a risk to self and others.
