Job Summary:

EMCOR UK is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technical Project Manager to lead the design and development of new and existing projects from inception to final handover. The successful candidate will have a strong background in technical project management, with experience in managing complex and technically challenging projects in the construction and building services industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and manage the design stages and technical development of projects, ensuring accurate collation and compilation of design documentation.
  • Represent the client's and EMCOR UK's interests, ensuring client design objectives are met and technical solutions are developed in collaboration with project managers and site managers.
  • Develop and implement best practice and cost-effective solutions to clients, ensuring quality standards and adherence to design are met.
  • Lead on-site reviews to ensure quality standards and adherence to design are being met, using IT systems to track progress.
  • Support the continued growth of EMCOR UK's design team through collaboration and innovative solutions.
  • Review third-party design and cost submissions for accuracy and adherence to client specification.
  • Develop and produce LV AC electrical design solutions through electronic software packages, producing detailed electrical design information in both written and drawing formats.
  • Have in-depth knowledge and understanding of commercial and industrial electrical systems, with awareness of critical environments and mission-critical systems beneficial but not essential.
  • Assist the commercial team in compiling accurate and comprehensive cost submissions, with knowledge of HV and DNO processes and procedures beneficial but not essential.
  • Organize and work with professionals and contractors in the development of new designs and changes to existing projects, leading pre-construction activities including site surveys and the compilation of schedule of requirements documentation.
  • Develop processes and standards for the BT account to ensure all documentation is comprehensive and uniform at national level.
  • Oversight of design activities, including outsourcing to specialists, consultants, and sub-contractors, and leading the compilation and development of tender submissions to clients.

  • Electrical bias with formal qualifications to C&G or HNC/HND standards
  • AutoCad and drawing package software experience
  • BS7671 18th Edition Wiring regulations
  • C&G Design, Erection, and Verification (2396)
