Role SummaryThe Capital Markets Chief Admin Offices is a critical team within Northern Trust, responsible for risk management, regulatory compliance, and oversight. This role sits within the Reg Change and oversight team, providing regulatory identification, impact assessment, and consultative support on the implementation of regulations affecting the Capital Markets business.
Key Responsibilities- Stay up-to-date with regulatory changes impacting the Capital Markets business units globally, with a focus on the US, UK, EU, AUS, and Singapore.
- Develop and maintain extensive knowledge of current global financial services market regulations.
- Interpret regulations and guidance from CFTC, NFA, ESMA, FCA, and MAS, as well as other regulatory regimes.
- Provide leadership and guidance to internal partners and external clients on regulatory impacts.
- Coordinate with internal compliance, legal, risk, and control partners to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Impact the achievement of customer, operational, project, or service objectives.
- Knowledge of risk management and strategic goals for the bank's business.
- In-depth knowledge of regulations, federal, state, and local laws and regulations acquired through formal education and work experience.
- Extensive risk management or compliance experience.
