Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Development Events Producer to join our team at Ilfordbid. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the safe delivery of our Culture and Libraries event program, including Redbridge Outdoor Arts, Fabula Festival, Black History Month, Day of the Dead, and Christmas events.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead on the administration of town centre and outdoor spaces applications to the council, applying for Temporary Event Notices, drafting Risk Assessments, producing Method Statements, and collating relevant health and safety documentation from artists.
- Manage artist liaison, checking through artists' technical requirements and documentation, conducting site visits in person or virtually, booking accommodation, raising invoices, and drafting contracts.
- Recruit and manage casual staff, source contractors, and develop the seasonal volunteer program for the Culture Team.
- Ensure events are delivered in line with industry guidance and HSE, sourcing competitive infrastructure, assessing staffing requirements, and volunteer roles.
- Research and develop cost-effective infrastructure solutions to support the delivery of events.
- Communicate with artists, drafting contracts, discussing tech specs, requirements, and payments.
- Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults. A DBS will be required for all regulated positions.

- Responsible for own Health and Safety, those of your colleagues, and service users.
Attendance to work on weekends and evenings, early mornings, and late nights as necessary. Planning and delivery of the Culture and Libraries event program will involve managing the overall safe delivery of the event program, leading on health and safety, including risk assessments and event documentation, and event schedules and procedures to ensure timely delivery.
Site managing events, including coordinating the equipment set up and acting as the first point of contact for casual event staff, contractors, artists, and volunteers. Ensuring events are delivered in line with industry guidance and HSE, sourcing competitive infrastructure, assessing staffing requirements, and volunteer roles. Researching and developing cost-effective infrastructure solutions to support the delivery of events.
Communication with artists, drafting contracts, discussing tech specs, requirements, and payments. Being the first point of contact for artists on-site, being responsible for the welfare of artists throughout the duration of the event, including get-in and get-out and pre and post-event liaison.
Being responsible for pick-up and delivery of event equipment, keeping inventories up to date, and managing the event store. Recruiting and managing event casuals, volunteers, and event contractors.
