Water Treatment Technician

MSS Water Ltd and the RSK Group are seeking a skilled Water Treatment Technician to join their team in South Wales, UK. This is a full-time, permanent position that requires a strong background in water treatment and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct sampling and testing of industrial water systems, including cooling towers, steam boilers, and closed loops.
  • Develop and implement water treatment plans to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with clients to discuss findings and recommendations, and provide expert advice on water treatment best practices.
  • Manage planned workload efficiently and effectively, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Perform water hygiene tasks, including temperature monitoring, sampling, showerhead descaling/disinfection, and tank cleans/disinfections.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Previous experience in managing cooling towers, steam boilers, and closed loops is highly beneficial, as is knowledge of Legionella guidelines, including L8 and HSG274.
  • At least two years of relevant experience in water treatment is required, with a strong focus on customer service and time management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.
  • Ability to travel occasionally for short durations and work additional overtime as needed.
  • Full clean driving license is required.
