Job Title: Water Treatment Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Water Treatment Engineer to join our team at SMS Environmental. As a Water Treatment Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest safety standards for people within UK communities we serve.

About the Role:

As a Water Treatment Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering a variety of water hygiene works, including cleaning and disinfecting showers, checking and cleaning water tanks and systems, delivering TMV checks and maintenance, and checking and disinfecting calorifiers. You will also be required to complete all work on in-house software using an iPad.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver water hygiene works to clients across South Wales, with flexibility to cover North Wales and South West as required.
  • Clean and disinfect showers, water tanks, and systems to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct TMV checks and maintenance to ensure the safe operation of water treatment systems.
  • Check and disinfect calorifiers to prevent the growth of Legionella bacteria.
  • Complete all work on in-house software using an iPad to ensure accurate and efficient record-keeping.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in water hygiene, with a focus on Legionella control.
  • Prior experience in flushing, temperature checking, servicing TMVs, shower descaling, and conducting water tank cleaning.
  • Previous experience using iPad technology for record-keeping and data entry.
  • Full UK driving license, with a company van provided.
