We are pleased to be working closely with a reputable engineering company who are based in Huddersfield and currently looking for an accounts assistant to join them on a full time, permanent basis. You will be doing a hands-on varied role and will report into the finance manager.

Responsibilities include:

  • Bank reconciliations
  • Processing purchase ledger invoices
  • Weekly payment runs
  • Matching and coding invoices
  • Supplier statement reconciliations
  • Cash allocation
  • Petty cash management
  • Assisting with VAT returns
  • Assisting with time sheets/wages
  • Assisting the finance manager with other ad hoc duties

Skills:

  • Strong IT skills and usage of accounting software

This role is ideal for someone who is looking to develop their skills in finance and administration. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with the finance manager and be involved in a variety of tasks, including bank reconciliations, processing purchase ledger invoices and assisting with VAT returns.

The company offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including 25 days plus bank holidays and a pension scheme. The role is based in Huddersfield and the successful candidate will be required to work 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
