We are seeking an experienced and skilled Advanced Social Work Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will work directly with families who are identified as Children in Need under Section 17 of the Children Act 1989.
About the RoleThe Safeguarding Children in Need team operates across three geographical pods: Wyre Forest and Bromsgrove. The team works with children who have stepped down from a child protection plan and consent to ongoing support via a child in need plan, as well as those who are privately fostered, on a Supervision Order, or have a Special Guardianship Order.
The team also supports children whose family has no recourse to public funds or resettlement families, babies who were part of the prebirth pathway, and those involved in Section 7 and 37 private law proceedings.
Key Responsibilities- Work with families to identify and address their needs
- Develop and implement support plans to ensure the child's safety and well-being
- Collaborate with other agencies and professionals to provide a comprehensive service
- Conduct assessments and reviews to determine the child's needs and progress
The successful candidate will work regular hours, with occasional evening and weekend work. The rate of pay is competitive, with additional rates for overtime and bank holidays.
