Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Assistant Chef to join our team at Llys Enfys Extra Care Scheme. As an Assistant Chef, you will play a vital role in providing delicious and nutritious meals for our tenants.

About the Role:

You will be responsible for sourcing fresh food, working to a budget, and supporting the Chef Manager in leading the team. Your creativity and attention to detail will be essential in creating exciting menus and recipes that cater to the diverse needs and preferences of our tenants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook meals for our tenants, ensuring high-quality standards and presentation.
  • Source fresh ingredients and manage food budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Work closely with the Chef Manager and team to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
  • Develop and implement menus that cater to cultural and dietary requirements.
  • Provide excellent customer service and engage with tenants to understand their needs and preferences.

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 2 in Food Preparation/Catering and Food Hygiene Level 2.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
