About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Kitchen Manager to join our team at Tesco Cafe. As a Kitchen Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, inventory management, and staff supervision. You will work closely with the Cafe Manager to ensure that the highest standards of food quality and customer service are maintained.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage food stocks, ordering, storage, and preparation in line with food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and customer service.
• Monitor and control kitchen costs, including labor, inventory, and waste management.
• Develop and implement new menu ideas and recipes to enhance the customer experience.
• Collaborate with the Cafe Manager to achieve business objectives and improve customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager or in a similar role in the hospitality industry.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations, with the ability to maintain high standards in the kitchen.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
