Gleeson Recruitment Group is partnering with a leading distribution organisation to find a skilled Credit Controller to support their growth and success. This is a brand new role, offering a competitive salary of up to £33,000 per annum + bonus.
Key Responsibilities:- Reconcile daily sales ledger transactions to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Process daily sales invoices and monthly statements, maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
- Raise sales credit notes and manually create pro-forma invoices, advance bills, or miscellaneous invoices as required.
- Resolve queries with internal and external stakeholders, liaising with sales and warehouse departments as necessary.
- Post and allocate daily receipts to accounting systems, providing timely and accurate information to internal departments.
- Maintain detailed notes regarding debtors on the internal system, ensuring the team leader has access to relevant data.
- Assist with submission to invoicing discounting providers and create new customer accounts in accordance with internal procedures.
- Identify VAT positions of transactions with customers in the UK and Europe, providing accurate and timely information.
- Provide ad-hoc reporting and undertake account reconciliations as required, ensuring monthly processing deadlines are met.
- Minimum 12 months of credit control experience.
- Confidence in using MS Office, including Word and Excel.
- Ability to reconcile complex accounts and possess excellent attention to detail.
- VAT knowledge for UK and EU sales transactions.
