Gleeson Recruitment Group is partnering with a leading distribution organisation to find a skilled Credit Controller to join their team in Tamworth. This is a brand new role created due to the company's growth and success.
Key Responsibilities:- Reconcile daily sales ledger transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Process daily sales invoices and monthly statements in a timely manner.
- Raise sales credit notes and manually create pro-forma invoices, advance bills, or miscellaneous invoices as required.
- Resolve queries with sales and warehouse departments regarding outstanding invoices.
- Post and allocate daily receipts to accounting systems.
- Provide accounts information to internal departments.
- Maintain detailed and accurate notes regarding debtors on the internal system.
- Assist with submission to invoicing discounting provider.
- Create new customer accounts in accordance with internal procedures.
- Identify VAT position of transactions with customers in the UK and Europe.
- Provide ad-hoc reporting as requested by management and undertake account reconciliations as required.
- Assist with periodic sales ledger audits.
- Ensure monthly processing deadlines are met.
- Minimum 12 months of credit control experience.
- Confidence in using MS Office, including Word and Excel.
- Ability to reconcile complex accounts and have excellent attention to detail.
- VAT knowledge for UK and EU sales transactions.
