This is an exciting opportunity to join our team of dedicated Consultants in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant to contribute to enhancing maternal safety within our unit.
Main Duties and Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership and administrative responsibility for the proper functioning of the Obstetric and Gynaecology Department.
- Develop and maintain high-quality care pathways and clinical guidelines in collaboration with the multi-professional team.
- Supervise and mentor junior medical staff, ensuring they receive comprehensive training and support.
- Participate in educational programs and clinical audits to promote excellence in patient care.
- Collaborate with colleagues and other departments to develop and maintain good working practices.
- Ensure the highest standards of care are maintained through robust quality assurance processes.
- Provide a role model of professional leadership, promoting the corporate values and behaviours of the organisation.

Person Specification- Full registration with the General Medical Council.
- MRCOG or equivalent qualification.
- Training and experience equivalent to that required for UK CCT.
- Entry onto the Specialist Register in Obstetrics and Gynaecology or within 6 months of CCT date at interview.
- ATSM in Fetal medicine.
- ATSM in Advanced Labour Ward Practice or equivalent.
