Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team of dedicated and experienced obstetricians and gynaecologists at East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant in Maternal and Fetal Medicine, you will play a key role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our obstetric and gynaecology department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical leadership and administrative responsibility for the proper functioning of the Obstetric and Gynaecology Department
  • Develop standards, procedures, and robust systems to ensure safe, high-quality, and efficient patient care
  • Supervise junior medical staff and provide educational and clinical support
  • Collaborate with the multi-professional team to develop care pathways and clinical guidelines
  • Ensure the highest standards of patient care and safety

Person Specification:
  • Full registration with the General Medical Council
  • MRCOG or equivalent
  • Training and experience equivalent to that required for UK CCT
  • Entry onto the Specialist Register in Obstetrics and Gynaecology or within 6 months of CCT date at interview
  • ATSM in Fetal Medicine
  • ATSM in Advanced Labour Ward Practice or equivalent
