Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled and experienced Obstetrician and Gynaecologist to join our team at East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust. We are seeking a talented individual to lead our Obstetrics and Gynaecology department and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and administrative responsibility for the proper functioning of the Obstetric and Gynaecology Department.
  • Develop and maintain standards, procedures, and robust systems to ensure safe, high-quality, and efficient patient care.
  • Supervise junior medical staff and provide educational and clinical support to ensure their development and growth.
  • Participate in risk management activities to ensure the safe and quality care of women and their families.
  • Contribute to educational programs for junior medical staff, including formal teaching sessions and clinical audits.

Requirements
  • MRCOG or equivalent qualification.
  • Full registration with the General Medical Council.
  • Training and experience equivalent to that required for UK CCT.
  • Entry onto the Specialist Register in Obstetrics and Gynaecology or within 6 months of CCT date at interview.
