About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Functional Skills Tutor to join our team. As a Functional Skills Tutor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning to support the development of learners' functional skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver engaging and effective teaching and learning programs to meet the needs of learners.
  • Assess and evaluate learner progress, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to support learners in achieving their goals.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum plans and resources.
  • Provide guidance and support to learners to help them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

Requirements:

  • Relevant teaching or training experience, preferably in a functional skills context.
  • Strong knowledge of functional skills curriculum and assessment requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with learners, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to work.
