Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervising Social Worker to join our independent fostering agency in the South West region. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supervising, supporting, and training foster carers, managing a caseload in the Somerset area, and assessing potential foster carers.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support foster carers to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and young people
  • Manage a caseload of foster carers in the Somerset area, providing regular visits and support
  • Assess potential foster carers to ensure they meet the agency's standards and are suitable to care for children and young people
  • Develop and implement training programs for foster carers to enhance their skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • Registration with Social Work England (SWE)
  • Driver's license
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies
  • Experience working within the social care sector, preferably in a supervisory or management role
