Job Summary: Electricity Network Strategist

We are looking for a seasoned Electricity Network Strategist to drive business-critical asset interventions and improve the resilience of United Utilities' energy infrastructure. Core Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the reliability and efficiency of the electricity network.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and address key challenges impacting the network's performance.
  • Engage with external partners and industry experts to stay informed about emerging trends and best practices.
  • Leverage data analytics to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including regulators, customers, and peers.
  • Communicate effectively with senior leaders and other key audiences to shape the strategic direction of the organisation.
  • Pursue professional development opportunities to expand your technical expertise and stay up-to-date with industry advancements.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Proven track record in managing complex electricity networks, with a focus on resilience, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Exceptional leadership and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience in influencing multiple groups and achieving desired outcomes.
  • Demonstrated expertise in data analytics, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and develop actionable insights.
  • Strong technical knowledge of electricity distribution systems, including grid management and power quality.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and industry standards, with a deep understanding of compliance requirements.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • A highly competitive salary range of £70,000 - 85,000 per annum, reflecting your expertise and experience.
