Fujitsu Research of Europe (FRE) is seeking a highly skilled Quantum Computing Researcher to join our multidisciplinary center. As part of Fujitsu's global R&D activity, we conduct research and innovation to transform businesses and society.


The successful candidate will research applications and algorithms that will be used to strengthen Fujitsu's quantum computing offerings in various fields such as finance, healthcare, and social infrastructure.


Your Role

As a Quantum Computing Researcher, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting research on quantum algorithms and applications of quantum computing
  • Collaborating with researchers from FRE and from our overseas laboratories (in Japan, India, or USA) and external academic partners
  • Generating IP and publishing work in top academic conferences and journals


Your Experience

To be suitable for this opportunity, you will be pro-active in your approach, adaptable, and able to demonstrate that you have:

  • PhD (or MSc and equivalent experience) in a relevant field: physics, mathematics, computer science, or related
  • Academic background in Quantum Information Theory would be a plus
  • A track record of substantial contributions to research projects in Quantum Computing or a related field
  • Strong programming skills, familiarity with quantum SDKs such as Qiskit, Pennylane, or pytket
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
