Fujitsu Research of Europe (FRE) is a multidisciplinary center that combines research and industrial innovation to drive business and societal transformation. We are seeking a talented Quantum Computing Researcher to join our team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge quantum computing solutions.

Your role will involve:

  • Conducting research on quantum algorithms and applications of quantum computing
  • Collaborating with researchers from FRE and external academic partners to generate IP and publish work in top academic conferences and journals
  • Developing and implementing quantum computing solutions for various industries, including finance, healthcare, and social infrastructure

As a Quantum Computing Researcher, you will have the opportunity to work on challenging projects, collaborate with a diverse team of experts, and contribute to the advancement of quantum computing technology. You will be based in the UK and will require international travel on an ad-hoc basis.

To be suitable for this opportunity, you will have:

  • A PhD (or MSc and equivalent experience) in a relevant field, such as physics, mathematics, computer science, or related
  • Academic background in Quantum Information Theory would be a plus
  • A track record of substantial contributions to research projects in Quantum Computing or a related field
  • Strong programming skills, familiarity with quantum SDKs such as Qiskit, Pennylane, or pytket
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
