About the Role

Fujitsu is seeking a highly skilled Quantum Computing Researcher to join our team in the UK. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for conducting research on quantum algorithms and applications of quantum computing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research on quantum algorithms and applications of quantum computing to strengthen Fujitsu's quantum computing offerings in various fields such as finance, healthcare, and social infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with researchers from Fujitsu's Research of Europe (FRE) and overseas laboratories to generate IP and publish work in top academic conferences and journals.
  • Develop and implement quantum computing solutions to drive business growth and innovation.
Requirements
  • PhD (or MSc and equivalent experience) in a relevant field such as physics, mathematics, computer science, or related.
  • Academic background in Quantum Information Theory is a plus.
  • A track record of substantial contributions to research projects in Quantum Computing or a related field.
  • Strong programming skills, familiarity with quantum SDKs such as Qiskit, Pennylane, or pytket.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
