Job Title: HGV Class 1 Tipper Driver

We are seeking a skilled and experienced HGV Class 1 Tipper Driver to join our team at GRS Group. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods and materials to our customers.

Job Purpose:

The primary purpose of this role is to drive LGV/HGV vehicles and deliver goods and services as required. You will be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of yourself, the public, and other road users while on the job.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Conduct daily vehicle checks to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition and report any faults or issues promptly.
  • Care for the company's assets and ensure they are used in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations.
  • Ensure the vehicle is securely loaded and restrained, and that the vehicle weights are within the legally permitted limits.
  • Drive efficiently and productively while adhering to road traffic laws.
  • Give due consideration to the health and safety of yourself, the public, and other road users at all times.
  • Represent the company in a professional and considerate manner at all times, and report any matters that may affect the company's business prospects.
  • Assist with yard duties and other tasks as required when not driving or taking breaks.
  • Complete reports and documentation accurately and on time to assist with the management of the business.
Requirements for the Role:
  • 6 months experience as a HGV Class 1 Driver.
  • Previous experience in operating tipper bodies is required.
  • MPQC/ MP Connect card required.
  • Drivers CPC Card.
  • Valid Tachograph Card.
  • Held a HGV Class 1 Driving License for over 6 months.
