Job Purpose:
To drive company delivery vehicles and deliver its goods to customers while ensuring the health and safety of self, the public, and other road users. To maintain the good condition and operation of the company's assets and provide excellent service to customers.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and record any faults using the provided system.
- Care for the company's assets and ensure they are used according to the manufacturer's recommendations.
- Ensure vehicles are securely loaded and restrained, and weights are within legal limits.
- Drive efficiently and productively while adhering to road traffic laws.
- Give consideration to the health and safety of self, the public, and other road users at all times.
- Represent the company professionally and considerately on the road and at customers' premises.
- Assist with yard duties and other tasks as required.
- Complete reports and documentation accurately and on time.
- Contribute to the well-being and profitability of the business.
Requirements for Role:
- 6 months experience as a HGV Class 1 Driver.
- Previous experience in operating tipper bodies is required.
- MPQC/ MP Connect card required.
- Drivers CPC Card.
- Valid Tachograph Card.
- Held a HGV Class 1 Driving License for over 6 months.
