Functional Specialist Role

This role presents an exciting opportunity for Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, and Paramedics to advance their careers with a leading international employer in a hybrid work setting.

As a Functional Specialist, you will deliver unbiased, comprehensive assessments for the Government's disability allowance (PIP), ensuring a personalised, inclusive, safe, and empathetic service for claimants.

The position offers a competitive salary of £38,500 - £41,500 per annum, along with a retention bonus, up to £45,650 OTB, and hybrid full-time or part-time working hours.

Your New Role:
  1. You will manage caseloads from end to end, including delivering face-to-face and virtual assessments, telephone assessments, initial review calls, and paper-based reports.
  2. You will assess the full range of health conditions and disabilities affecting claimants, including physical, sensory, mental, intellectual, and cognitive impairments.
  3. You will have time built into your working rota for breaks, CPD, audit amendments, requesting and reviewing further evidence, and team meetings.
  4. Qualifications: Valid registration on NMC or HCPC without restrictions.
  5. Estimated annual salary: £39,237.50.
