Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to join our team as a Clinical Risk Assessment Specialist. The successful candidate will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to conduct assessments of referred individuals, ensuring the APIE approach is implemented effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive desk-based and face-to-face assessments of individuals with complex mental health needs.
  • Develop and implement robust risk assessment strategies to mitigate potential risks in community settings.
  • Review reports and evidence outcome measures to inform clinical practice and quality measures.
  • Maintain continuous professional development and produce a CPD folder upon request.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective assessment and risk mitigation.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Registered RMN/RNLD/OT qualification.
  • Experience working with individuals with complex mental health needs, learning disabilities, ABI, personality disorder, autism, and forensic backgrounds.
  • Applied knowledge of the Mental Health Act, CTOs, and the Mental Capacity Act, Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards, and Best Interest Decision making.
  • Expertise in assessment and management of risk, with strong report writing skills and computer literacy.
  • Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
