Lead Practitioner for Science Position

Ribbons & Reeves are seeking a dynamic and experienced Science teacher to take on the role of Lead Practitioner for Science in a 'Good' school in Havering.

The Role:

  • Delivering exceptional teaching and learning within Science lessons and intervention sessions.
  • Providing coaching and mentoring support to staff and students in interview programmes within the Science department.
  • Offering evaluative feedback on the impact of learning strategies on student progress to senior and middle leaders.
  • Delivering Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to teachers within the Science department.
  • Lead Practitioner Scale 1-10 (Outer London), depending on experience.

Job Requirements:

  • Hold a QTS, an undergraduate degree in Science and be able to show evidence of ongoing CPD.
  • Be able to demonstrate outstanding teaching practice and excellent behaviour management.
  • Willingness to use a range of teaching and learning techniques which engage and support learners.
  • Providing an effective learning environment through classroom management.
