Role Summary

Uag is seeking a highly skilled Research Conservation Specialist to work on the 'Earth Tracker' initiative. This 6-month full-time role will involve collaborating with the Leverhulme Centre for Nature Recovery to track and prioritize country-level actions for nature recovery.

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the Department of Biology at the University of Oxford's efforts in biodiversity conservation policies, frameworks, and approaches for assessing and monitoring progress towards national and/or global conservation goals.

We are looking for an individual with specialist knowledge in biodiversity conservation policies, frameworks, and approaches for assessing and monitoring progress towards national and/or global conservation goals.

About You

The ideal candidate should have experience working independently on research projects and a proven track record of collaboration with external stakeholders in the conservation and sustainability field.

You should be able to compile and assess available data sources relevant to tracking nature recovery, conduct analyses to identify national targets and levels of progress, and lead expert elicitation exercises to assess future country-level priorities for nature recovery.

What We Offer

This is a full-time role available immediately. The estimated salary range for this position is £27,500-£32,500 per annum.
