Automotive Quality Manager

Location: Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire
Our client, a global manufacturer with a strong reputation for quality, is seeking a highly skilled Automotive Quality Manager to join their team. As a key member of the quality team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of exceptional quality products and services.
The Automotive Quality Manager Role:- Lead and direct all aspects of quality on site, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Develop and implement quality standards across the extrusion plants, driving continuous improvement and excellence.
- Liaise with OPEX and other plants to promote best practice and share knowledge.
- Attend EE Quality meetings and cross-audits to ensure consistency and quality across sites.
- Manage the design of process flowsheets, plant layouts, material handling systems, equipment procurement, and material utilisation with a focus on quality.
- Evaluate current and potential processing methods to identify areas for improvement.
- Monitor and analyse key performance indicators of process operations, recommending corrective actions to the operations team.
- Create and distribute monthly Quality reports to stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, coaching, mentoring, supervising, and leading direct reports.
- Maintain a safe and efficient work environment, adhering to health and safety protocols.
- Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, with a strong background in quality and manufacturing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex quality assurance principles effectively.
- Familiarity with quality standards and the ability to convey quality assurance principles and practices.
- Previous experience of managing and motivating a team within a production environment.
- A demonstrated ability as a leader, with developing skills and the ability to work effectively with staff at all levels within the business.
- In-depth understanding of Automotive quality processes and documentation.
- Experience in continuous improvement, problem-solving, and change management in an industrial environment.
- Lean Six Sigma or a Higher Diploma (HND).
- Master's degree in quality assurance or business management, or a bachelor's degree in a related field such as business administration, engineering, or quality management.
