Job Title: Automotive Quality Manager

Salary: £50,000 per annum

Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday Day Shift

Location: Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire

Our client, a global manufacturer with a strong reputation for quality, is seeking a highly skilled Automotive Quality Manager to join their team. As a key member of the quality team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of quality are maintained across the organization.

The Automotive Quality Manager Role:
  1. Lead and direct all aspects of quality on site
  2. Develop and implement quality standards across the extrusion plants
  3. Liaise with operations and other plants to promote best practice
  4. Attend quality meetings and conduct cross-site audits
  5. Design and implement process flowsheets, plant layouts, material handling systems, and equipment procurement
  6. Evaluate current and potential processing methods
  7. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators of process operations and recommend corrective actions
  8. Create and distribute monthly quality reports
  9. Work with cross-functional teams and lead direct reports
  10. Maintain a safe and efficient work environment
The Automotive Quality Manager Candidate:
  1. Experience in a manufacturing environment with a strong quality background
  2. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  3. Familiarity with quality standards and effective communication
  4. Previous experience of managing and motivating a team in a production environment
  5. A demonstrated ability as a leader with developing skills and the ability to work effectively with staff at all levels
  6. In-depth understanding of automotive quality processes and documentation
  7. Experience in continuous improvement, problem-solving, and change management in an industrial environment
  8. Lean Six Sigma or a higher diploma (HND)
  9. Master's degree in quality assurance or business management or a bachelor's degree in a related field
