Job Title: Head of Business General Manager

Command Recruitment is seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager to lead our flagship Used Car Dealership in the Leeds area.

About the Role:

  • Lead and motivate a large team of sales executives to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve sales targets.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth, improve customer satisfaction, and increase revenue.
  • Manage the day-to-day sales activities, including deal files, handovers, and sales funnel to maximize sales revenue.
  • Supervise and organize the aftersales/service function on site, including 2 site technicians.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record in sales, preferably within the automotive industry.
  • Strong used car background, ideally from a used car supermarket.
  • Ability to lead by example, manage, and inspire the team to deliver exceptional performance.
  • Strong customer focus, great computer literacy, and strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivation and experience of working with aftersales/service departments would be an added advantage.

Working Pattern:

The successful candidate will work a mixture of weekends and weekdays, mainly long days of 4 or 5 days per week, rota dependent. The dealership is open until 10pm, so the shifts will be long but highly profitable.

An extended in-house training period will be required initially, which will involve travel to other parts of the business to absorb the company culture and processes. Accommodation, mileage, etc. will be expensed by the company.
