Job Title: Band 6 Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 6 Therapist to join our Hand Therapy Team at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a Band 6 Therapist, you will play a key role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our hand therapy service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a complex clinical caseload of adult and paediatric patients following trauma or with acquired conditions.
  • Work alongside the Hand Surgeons in their clinics, assessing and managing patients following their injury or surgery.
  • Be the on-call hand therapist and attend ward rounds to prioritise and manage patient referrals.
  • Contribute to the day-to-day operational running of the hand therapy team, including staff management and caseload organisation.
  • Provide supervision, teaching, and support to more junior staff, therapy assistants, and students on placement.
  • Participate in and contribute to in-service training programmes and lead teaching at a high level, including to senior medical and nursing staff.
  • Be involved in developing, leading, and completing local and multicentre research and audits undertaken in hand therapy.
