Job Title: Product Safety Capability Manager

BAE Systems (New) is seeking a highly skilled Product Safety Capability Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Capability Engineering team, you will be responsible for developing and sustaining the capability of the Product Safety domain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working with specialist Product Safety engineering teams to develop resource solutions, SQEP assessments, and training and development intervention requirements.
  • Regularly engaging with stakeholders within the Product Safety and other Engineering Domains.
  • Providing regular updates on the status of Product Safety capabilities across the Astute/Dreadnought and SSNA programmes.
  • Gathering information from specialist engineering teams to identify areas of strategic and tactical risk.
  • Production of Capability Management plans to ensure engineering capability is sustained, developed, and managed in line with programme requirements.
  • Developing own Capability Management and/or Product Safety skills/knowledge with individual training programmes.

Requirements:

  • STEM Degree or equivalent experience (i.e., Safety or Environmental field / Capability Management).
  • Chartered status or evidence of working towards Chartership.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and experience.
