About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team as an Intermediate/Senior Electrical Engineer. As a key member of our engineering team, you will provide technical expertise and support to our clients across various sectors, including commercial, health, education, defence, residential, and community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering support to the practice, including design and project management responsibilities.
  • Meet with clients to establish project briefs and budget costs for client consideration.
  • Carry out fee-earning work, including design of schemes where appropriate, and provide cost-effective solutions.
  • Draw up detailed specifications and drawings against client briefs.
  • Review tenders received and prepare tender reports and recommendations.
  • Project manage site works from commencement to completion.
  • Monitor site works against specification requirements and agree contractor's final accounts.
  • Carry out inspections of existing installations and submit condition reports.
  • Check and prepare fee invoicing each month.
  • Meet annual and monthly fee targets as directed by the office partner.

Requirements

  • Degree/master's in Engineering.
  • Member of the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers and/or The Energy Institute (or equivalents).
  • Chartered Engineer status or approaching.
  • Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Proven track record of meeting deadlines.
  • Use of IES (Mechanical) or Amtech (Electrical) design software.
  • Use of AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Familiar with relevant legislation, codes of practice, CIBSE guides, building regulations, and best practice.
