Facilities Maintenance Specialist

The Term Time Teachers Estate Maintenance and Security Officer plays a vital role in ensuring the sites are safe, clean, and well-maintained.
Job Overview:- This role is responsible for maintaining premises security by holding keys and ensuring the site remains secure at all times.
We estimate that this role will have an annual salary of approximately £25,000 - £30,000 depending on experience.
Main Responsibilities:- Maintain premises security by holding keys and ensuring the site remains secure at all times.
- Respond to and accurately record all call outs, liaising with the security force and police as necessary.
- Regularly test fire alarms, be familiar with the evacuation procedure for the premises, and conduct evacuation drills.
- Ensure the safe storage of materials covered by COSHH regulations.
- Switch off lights and other equipment as required.
- Provide portering services.
- Operate, manage, and control cleaning materials and equipment, including ordering, storing, and distributing to relevant departments.
- Report all structural, fabric, fixtures, furnishings, and equipment defects to the appropriate person.
- Undertake minor/simple repairs such as plumbing, changing light bulbs, redecorating, and fixing.
- Conduct regular site premises inspections and identify and record maintenance requirements.
- Liaise with external contractors and monitor their work to ensure it is completed promptly.
We are looking for someone who is reliable, proactive, and able to work independently. The ideal candidate will have experience in estate maintenance and a strong understanding of health and safety procedures.
