As a Document Controller, you will play a crucial role in supporting the business by providing administrative assistance and learning the relevant skills and knowledge to assist the Management team and Document Control.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience within the construction industry and possess knowledge of multiple software systems.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the registration, receipt, distribution, and issue of all project documentation
  • Assisting with and collating O&M Manuals
  • Managing all incoming and outgoing project documentation, including drawings
  • Recording keeping of each document's status and revisions
  • Uploading and distributing drawings and documents to relevant EDMS systems
  • Ensuring the latest revisions are available
  • Referencing documents with numbers and file names, uploading them to various EDMS systems in line with BIM in accordance with BS EN ISO 19650

The successful candidate will gain a full understanding and sound knowledge of EDMS systems used by clients, including Cognica, Acconex, Zutec, Fieldview, 4P Viewpoint, Edocuments, Asite, Plexus & DocHosting.

They will also learn and gain an understanding of GSI's most popular services offered and product range used in order to create precise O&M Manuals and Technical Specifications.

Additionally, the Document Controller will be responsible for generating Technical Submittals & Technical Projects Packs, uploading project documents and records to 4P Viewpoint and Fieldview, and ensuring that Firestopping reports, Fire Certificates and Operations & Maintenance manuals are available at the end of the project.
