Job Title: Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our team at the CareTech Group.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team providing occupational therapy services to young people with complex mental health needs.

You will be responsible for assessing and delivering occupational therapy interventions, working closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals.

As a key member of the team, you will contribute to the development of the occupational therapy service, ensuring it is evidence-based and meets the needs of our service users.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and deliver occupational therapy interventions to young people with complex mental health needs
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals
  • Contribute to the development of the occupational therapy service, ensuring it is evidence-based and meets the needs of service users
  • Supervise and support occupational therapy assistants
  • Provide training and consultation to the team working with young people
  • Attend child-focused meetings, including CMAP meetings and LAC reviews
  • Contribute to risk management plans and placement plans
Requirements
  • BSc or MSc in Occupational Therapy
  • Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Registered with the Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT)
  • Experience working in mental health and with a trauma-informed approach
  • Interest in service development
  • Strong communication, organisational, and time management skills
