We are proud that our summer centres operate for 4 to 6 weeks per year, hosting students from around the world, typically staying for 13 nights while completing a 30-hour English Language Course alongside activities, excursions, and evening events.

Twin Summer Centres offer residential full-board and non-residential summer contracts at 8 UK locations: Canterbury, London Docklands, London Greenwich, Nottingham, Crowthorne, Lincoln, Gloucester, and Norwich.

The Welfare Manager role is a new addition to our 2025 Summer Centres. At Twin Summer Centres, we prioritize student welfare and ensure that all staff receive comprehensive training in child protection and safeguarding.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and support the wellbeing of all students on-site, adhering to our Safeguarding Policy.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments for each activity and excursion, ensuring that all staff understand and follow procedures.
  • Liaise with Activity Manager, Centre Manager, and Director of Studies to guarantee that all staff have access to risk assessments and necessary information.
  • Live on-site for 6 days a week, participating in daily lights-out walk-arounds and responding to emergencies as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of student data, including allergies, dietary requirements, and special educational needs or disabilities.
  • Coordinate the rooming list, ensuring that students are placed according to their preferences and company policies.
  • Assist in greeting groups upon arrival and managing departures, arranging transportation and accommodations as necessary.
  • Support the Centre Manager in daily operations, including student arrivals, departures, and pastoral duties.
Requirements
  • A level or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience working with under-18s, preferably in an educational or childcare setting.
  • Ability to manage a team and lead by example.
  • Familiarity with safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical stamina to work long hours on-site.

Estimated Salary: £1,050 - £1,250 per week (dependent on centre size and location), plus accrued holiday pay of 12.07%.
