About the Role

This SEN Teaching Assistant role offers a unique opportunity to make a real impact on the lives of children with Special Educational Needs. You will work closely with teachers and other professionals to develop and implement tailored support plans for students with various Special Educational Needs.

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and speech and language difficulties.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support classroom activities and adapt lesson plans to ensure SEN students can fully participate in lessons.
  • Build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents, fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with external professionals to implement specific strategies and interventions tailored to individual student needs.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A strong passion for working with children with Special Educational Needs and a commitment to their educational and personal development.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
