Special Education Needs Instructor

A dedicated SENCO is required to teach a class of 11 pupils with high-level special educational needs at an Enfield-based Primary Academy. The ideal candidate will possess QTS or equivalent, experience working in Special Educational Needs schools, and knowledge of the SCERTS programme.
Salary and Benefits
The estimated salary for this position is £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. Additional benefits may include a comprehensive induction program, opportunities for professional development, and a supportive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach a class of 11 pupils with varying ages and abilities, providing support to develop their communication, social, and emotional skills.
- Plan and prepare learning activities based on the SCERTS programme, collaborating with learning support assistants as needed.
- Possess previous experience teaching students with Autism, ADHD, and communication/language needs, utilizing your expertise to create personalized learning plans.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Hold QTS or equivalent qualification in Special Education Needs.
- Prior experience within a Special Educational Needs school, preferably with a focus on Autism, ADHD, and communication/language needs.
- Knowledge of the SCERTS programme, including Social Communication, Emotional Regulation, and Transactional Support.
