Job Title: School Chef Manager - Innovative Cuisine Specialist
Job Summary:
The Rosewood School is seeking an experienced and skilled School Chef Manager to join our team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality meals to our students and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and present meals to an exceptional standard, adhering to KCC School Food Standards and nutritional guidelines.
- Manage stock levels, control waste, and ensure best value for money and quality in catering orders.
- Ensure a safe and hygienic work environment, reporting any accidents, near misses, damage, or breakages to your line manager.
- Assist with special functions, such as inset days and after-school meetings, and complete cleaning duties within the kitchen area.
- Keep expenditure within authorized budget limits and ensure Food Safety qualification is up to date.
- Actively assist in maintaining a five-star food hygiene rating and provide a safe and hygienic work environment.
Requirements:
- Experience in cooking for between 35 and 60 people.
- Catering experience and a recognized catering qualification, such as City and Guilds or NVQ.
- Enhanced DBS clearance.
Working Hours: 37 hours per week, term time only, with flexibility for the right candidate.
