School Kitchen Assistant

We are seeking a motivated and passionate Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Chartwells - Schools. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will play a vital role in preparing delicious, high-quality food that delights our clients and customers.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and cook food to a high standard, ensuring that all dishes are presented attractively and are of the highest quality.
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and surrounding areas, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of deliveries and supply vehicles, ensuring that all goods are stored and handled correctly.
- Represent Chartwells - Schools and maintain a positive brand image, providing excellent customer service and ensuring that all interactions are professional and courteous.
- Comply with all relevant health and safety regulations, including Food Handling & Hygiene standards.
- Demonstrate an ability to manage pressure, prioritise tasks and communicate effectively at all levels.
- Be an excellent team player, able to work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve shared goals.
- Have a committed and organised approach, with a strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Have a desire to succeed in your role, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Possess the ability to work under pressure, with a flexible approach to working hours and shifts.
