Our premium brand Automotive client is currently recruiting for a key role to drive quality improvements in their manufacturing process.

About the Opportunity

This exciting opportunity is based at the Solihull Plant and involves leading activities that will reduce manufacturing variability on vehicle lines, decrease external functional faults, and robustly introduce engineering changes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering against quarterly business reviews by monitoring and reporting customer KPIs, demonstrating an understanding of deteriorating metrics, and communicating vehicle line status for review.

The team will also be supporting the Manufacturing plant for Engineering internal customer issues reported from First Time Thorough, Divert Free Vehicles & WCPA, reducing functional faults on vehicle lines from external customer issues reported on 0 & 3 MIS Warranty & RSA through problem-solving support and leading X-functional project teams.

This role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing and supplier quality operations and processes within the Automotive industry, as well as experience with Agile Frameworks, SCRUM, Kanban, SAFE, and Agile planning tools such as Jira.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Engineering or equivalent relevant experience in an Automotive Engineering function and strong project management skills.

They will also be able to communicate effectively with individuals from both technical and non-technical backgrounds and present content in a meaningful, clear, and concise way at senior meetings.

Requirements
  • A strong understanding of people and emotional intelligence
  • Experience with Cost & Fact Sheet validation and coordination with X-functional plant teams resulting from a Solihull Stop Ship
  • Able to work in a hybrid environment with 4 days in the office and 1 day remote
