Salary: £12100 per day inside IR35 via Umbrella. This is a competitive rate considering the location and job requirements.

Job Description: The Financial Operations Specialist will work within the Cyber Security programme team, responsible for leading and delivering business change activities. This role involves supporting the implementation of new controls and processes and ensuring successful handover into the business.

  1. Business Spend Management: Collaborate with Project Management Teams to ensure accurate project spend and forecasts, considering risk profiles and updating monthly reports.
  2. Performance Analysis: Provide performance reviews, trend analysis, and critical evaluation to drive improved project performance.
  3. Financial Expertise: Act as a trusted partner for the business, providing financial expertise and project knowledge to support the wider business.
  4. Portfolio Oversight: Assist the Senior Project Manager in understanding their portfolio, highlighting deviations and areas of focus.
  5. Cost Control: Ensure accuracy of actual costs, challenge project teams when necessary, and maintain an effective control framework.
  6. Data Stewardship: Lead stewardship of key Master data, ensuring continuous review and maintenance in collaboration with project teams and businesses.
  7. Audit Support: Contribute to crucial audits by providing clear supporting information and evidence of balances.
  8. Close-Out Processes: Drive the close-out processes and forecasting of capitalisation to prevent backlogs and ensure accurate asset and depreciation positions.
  9. Continuous Improvement: Proactively seek opportunities for continuous improvement at both individual and process levels, suggesting ideas for consideration and leading their implementation if accepted.
  10. New Process Implementation: Support the implementation of new controls and processes within the Cyber Security programme.

Required Skills and Qualifications: Significant experience in reporting financial information, particularly to non-finance staff. Demonstrated commercial acumen and the ability to build relationships at all levels. Proficiency in influencing and working as part of a virtual team. Proven experience in planning, forecasting, and budgeting across various projects. Experience in supporting commercial decisions with financial information. Knowledge of SAP and MS Office would be advantageous.
