About the Role

The Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the position of Group Director of Performance and Information. This role is a key part of the Trust's senior leadership team and will play a crucial role in shaping the future of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

The Group Director of Performance and Information will be responsible for leading the development of a performance culture within the Trust, including the creation of a robust performance framework that coordinates activities and monitors performance across the organisation.

They will also be responsible for leading on performance management and business intelligence arrangements within the Trust, providing management and development of internal and external performance reporting mechanisms and clear analysis to drive improvements in care.

Main Duties

The post-holder will work closely with corporate group and health unit colleagues to perform a bridging role between operations, quality, performance, finance, and informatics to ensure strategic change programmes and performance improvement plans reflect best practice.

They will also be responsible for the strategic leadership of the business intelligence agenda across the Group, ensuring that information, analysis, and intelligence are available to allow the Trust to effectively manage its performance and make evidence-based decisions.

The Trust provides services from five main hospital sites across North London and delivers nationally and internationally renowned specialist clinical services alongside a wide range of local core services.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree or equivalent in organisational development or a related change area, with evidence of further formal study at master's level.

They will also have demonstrable experience of working in a performance function operating at a senior level and experience of working with a Board in an acute NHS setting.

Skills and Knowledge

The post-holder will need to have exceptional leadership and communication skills, with experience of dealing with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

They will also need to have experience of comprehensive business planning and translating organisation strategy and vision into operational objectives.

Other Requirements

The ideal candidate will be able to plan strategically, tactically, and creatively, and will have a proactive, versatile, and problem-solving approach.

They will also need to be able to maintain personal credibility and have a commitment to self-development.
