Job Title: Assistant Financial Controller

SCHLOSS Roxburghe is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Financial Controller to join our finance team. As a key member of the team, you will assist the Director of Finance in supporting the hotel's financial functions and activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the Accounts Office team, ensuring day-to-day accounting functions are executed in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Review and supervise accounting entries to the General Ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare and review financial reports, including income audit packs and cash reports.
  • Assist in the preparation of the hotel's strategic plans and budget packages.
  • Coordinate the monthly forecasting process with the Hotel Management Team.
  • Reconcile asset registers to the General Ledger each month.
  • Ensure internal audits are performed regularly across the business.
  • Undertake miscellaneous tasks assigned by the Director of Finance.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role in a hotel or resort.
  • Experience with Opera, Simphony, Fourth, SUN, and procurement/purchasing systems is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge and proficient user of Microsoft Excel.
