Adult Care Caseworker

We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Social Worker to join our South Care and Support Team at Eddie Ferguson House in Blyth. The successful candidate will work predominantly in our South Locality Allocation Hub, a pilot site for Prevention. We are seeking a dynamic qualified Social Worker who can think creatively and utilise community services to prevent or delay care and support needs in line with the Care Act.

The post is 37 hours per week on a permanent contract basis. You will conduct Adult Needs Assessments, Mental Capacity Assessments and collaborate with external services to access resources required to meet care and support needs. It is essential to have a clear understanding of the Care Act and Local Authorities statutory duties. We are committed to protecting and promoting the welfare of vulnerable adults and expect all staff to share this commitment.

Requirements
  • Social Work degree
  • Social Work England registration
  • Full UK driving licence with access to a car
