Job Title: Technical Project Manager
Main Purpose of the Job:
To manage technical project delivery and collaborate closely with teams across a well-established organization. The role requires delivering IT projects aimed at enhancing the organisation's technical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creating project initiation documents to confirm project scope.
- Developing and maintaining project plans and documentation.
- Facilitating risk workshops and managing risks throughout the project.
- Overseeing project financial tracking and purchasing.
- Handling project scope changes and producing documented change control impact assessments.
- Reporting project status to the steering group.
- Organizing and leading steering group meetings with the project sponsor.
- Planning, organizing, and implementing technical changes.
- Preparing transition documentation to hand projects over to the IT service team.
Experience:
- Essential: Previous experience in project delivery.
- Desirable: Experience managing third-party vendors to meet project deliverables.
Qualifications:
- Essential: Experience managing projects that involve changes to existing infrastructure or implementing new systems.
- Desirable: Familiarity with industry-standard software and project methodologies.
Specialist Skills/Abilities/Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and processes.
- Proficiency in producing accurate and high-quality project documentation.
- Ability to manage stakeholders and conduct effective meetings.
- Skilled in managing risks and utilizing RAID.
- Working knowledge of networking, infrastructure, IT security, applications, databases, and data centers.
