About the Role

We are looking for a qualified lawyer or Chartered Legal Executive with a background in civil litigation and/or property law to join our team as a Commercial Litigation Solicitor. The successful candidate will have a keen interest in specialising in litigation and be proficient in IT and quick to adapt to new systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage a caseload of property litigation matters, including:
  1. Boundary disputes, TOLATA claims, and land ownership issues
  2. Residential and commercial landlord-tenant disputes, including possession claims
  3. Easement disputes (rights of way, light, usage)
  4. Dilapidation disputes and leasehold extensions under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954
  1. Provide legal support to other departments (Commercial Property, Employment, Debt Recovery, Probate)
  2. Handle client instructions, maintain detailed file notes, and draft legal documents (pleadings, statements)
  3. Prepare cost estimates and issue Client Care Letters, with regular client updates on progress and costs
  4. Ensure compliance with Office Manual procedures and Solicitors Accounts Rules
  5. Prepare and review court bundles; perform court advocacy when needed
  6. Negotiate settlements and draft agreements

£60,000 - £80,000 per annum
